The week will start on a nice note, and certainly a better note than yesterday. Skies will be sunny today, allowing temperatures to trend about 10 degrees warmer than Sunday. Highs will still run cool though, in the middle to upper 50s with a breezy NW wind.
We’ll be clear tonight with temperatures dropping into the lower and middle 30s again. Bright morning sun tomorrow will mix with afternoon clouds and a breezy southerly wind will kick in. We’ll bring temperatures well into the 60s which will make for a very comfortable and nice afternoon. The warmer weather doesn’t last though as a storm system builds east, clouding skies up into the night. Rain showers will develop and then turn widespread for Wednesday morning. The first half of Wednesday will be rainy with precip shutting down around midday. It could in fact end briefly as a little bit of snow for the higher spots north and east of the Capital Region, but accumulations aren’t likely. Wednesday afternoon will bring a drying trend and eventually skies will start to clear. Highs will only be in the 50s and the wind will remain breezy.
The sun will return for the end of the work week. Thursday and Friday will be mostly sunny but temperatures will take some time to bounce back. We’ll end up in the 50s again Thursday afternoon before climbing back above 60 to end the week. Highs will stay in the 60s for the weekend with clouds potentially rolling back in and some showers.
