MBOR presents awards at ceremony
Midland Board of Realtors gave its top honor, Realtor of the Year, to Christina Reimer with RE/MAX of Midland.
A release said her dedication to the MBOR and community is “evident through her extensive involvement.” Some of that involvement includes collaborating with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
SVRC Industries, Inc and Carter Kits announce partnership to empower communities and individuals with disabilities
SVRC Industries’ Industrial Operations Program, a company that employs people with disabilities, and Carter Kits, a provider of sensory bags designed to comfort and focus individuals, especially those on the autism spectrum, have announced the deepening of their partnership.
Since 2020, SVRC’s Industrial Operations has been collaborating with Carter Kits to enhance the production and distribution of their sensory bags. Initially quoted to assist in the manufacturing process, Carter Kits’ approach to kit building has been refined and relocated to SVRC’s Industrial Operations facilities.
“Carter Kits Sensory Bags were born out of a deeply personal journey,” said Justin Severs, co-founder of Carter Kits and father of Carter, who has autism. “Our mission has always been to provide comfort and support to children like Carter, and through our partnership with SVRC’s Industrial Operations, we are able to expand our reach and impact.”
Carter Kits Sensory Bags offer comfort and focus to children facing overwhelming situations, including those on the autism spectrum. Originally designed for first responders, the mission of Carter Kits has expanded to serve various professions, including mental health facilities, schools, churches, and emergency departments. The kits are now available internationally, with over 15,000 distributed across the United States.
SVRC’s Industrial Operations Program is hiring a dedicated Carter Kits Operations Manager. This role will focus on customer education, inventory management, and ensuring the seamless distribution of kits.

Mark Dickerson III hired before graduation by Deloitte
Midland resident Mark Dickerson III, a senior pursuing a bachelors degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University, was hired before graduation as a audit and assurance associates at Deloitte in Midland, Michigan.
The university is an accredited Christian liberal arts university located in Greenville, South Carolina.
